At ASDAN we have been working hard for the past 33 years to achieve our aim: to provide opportunities for all learners, of all ages and from all walks of life, to develop their personal and social attributes and raise their levels of achievement through the use and attainment of ASDAN programmes and qualifications.
Despite changing education policy, ASDAN maintains a distinctive approach to motivating learners by recognising and rewarding what they know and can do, rather than penalising them for what they do not know and cannot do. This underlying methodology is reflected in the design of all our courses,and central to our philosophy.
ASDAN (Award Scheme Development and Accreditation Network) is a charitable social enterprise, endorsed by the British Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) and the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). It has provided Quality education certification and leadership courses for students all over the world for over 33 years. There are currently 6000 registered centers under ASDAN’s global network and every year more than 200,000 students are involved in different ASDAN programmes. ASDAN has published over 100 different kinds of academic materials, and is one of most influential international education organizations providing some of the highest level academic, quality education. Certificates awarded by ASDAN are accepted by many renowned universities and companies in the UK and the US.
ASDAN China was founded in September 2011,and currently co-operates with 351 international schools and key schools in 52 cities. Up till 2016, more than 150,000 students participated in ASDAN China programs.
ASDAN China currently cooperates with top international educational organizations and prestigious universities across the world. With the aim of introducing high quality education resources on subjects such as business, economics, mathematics,physics, chemistry, engineering, information science, biology,leadership, social studies and art into China. ASDAN China hopes to connect after-class activities with school classes, and aims to help schools improve their overall extra curricular activities, by providing students with high quality educational esources.
ASDAN's charitable purpose is: "The advancement of education, by providing opportunities for all learners to develop their personal and social attributes and levels of achievement through ASDAN awards and resources, and the relief of poverty, where poverty inhibits such opportunities for learners."
ASDAN rewards learners' success in a range of skills and settings from Entry level to University entrance.

ASDAN programmes and qualifications are also recognised by the Department for Education. When ASDAN qualifications were given formal GCSE equivalence and included in league tables from September 2004, inevitably this gave ASDAN a heightened status and credibility in the world of education.
Highlighted in the Tomlinson Report (2004). The Tomlinson Report (October 2004) highlighted ASDAN as an example of good practice in relation to the accreditation of wider activities, and this still has significance today. The Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency made reference to ASDAN in a number of reports for which ASDAN was a key contributor, notably "Ways to Accredit Generic Learning".

Highlighted in the Nuffield Review as exemplary contemporary practice.
All ASDAN qualifications are approved by Ofqual and carry points comparable to GCSEs. As a guide, 25 points (Level 1) is comparable to a GCSE grade E/F and 46 points (Level 2) is comparable to a GCSE grade B.
|09/2011||ASDAN China is set up in Beijing, its aims are to introduce advanced education resources to China,and to help schools build up a skilled-based education system and to advance after-class activities.|
|10/2011||Introduced the CoPE standard in China. Developed programs fit for Chinese students, through which they could gain 70 UCAS points.|
|02/2012||ASDAN Mini MBA Program started. Students visit famous establishments to learn how business and government affairs work in the US, the UK and the EU. Today, more than 3,200 students have participated in the Mini MBA program, and 55% of these students have obtained the CoPE certificate and the corresponding 70 UCAS. Students have praised the program for helping them with university preparation.|
|08/2012||Yale World Youth Economic Forum (Shanghai) founded. Co-hosted by ASDAN China alongside students from Yale University. This forum is held in August in Shanghai every year, with students from all over the world invited. It has now been running for 4 years, with participation from more than 20 countries including China, the USA, Switzerland, Germany, the UK, India, South Korea and Japan.|
|08/2011||Silk Road Adventure Program started, Students from Switzerland, Germany and other European countries with Chinese students accompanying, travel the Silk Road to explore Chinese culture. This programme is held every summer, and more than 400 Chinese and foreign students have participated the program.|
|09/2012||The first ASDAN teachers' conferences in Shanghai and Shenzhen. ASDAN China accommodates all teachers to attend the meeting, allowing teachers to share their teaching experiences with each other. This program is held every September, and has been running for the past 4 years. Nearly 700 teachers from more than 150 schools attend the conference each year.|
|10/2012||ASDAN Business Simulation started. ASDAN China held the program with international schools and key schools together nationwide. An advanced business simulation with IT system is introduced, with real trading rules running in near-life simulation. 28 simulations have been held so far, with more than 4000 students participating.|
|02/2013||ASDAN Model United Nations Program started. We organized Chinese high school students to attend the NAIMUN, YMUN, HMUN and MITMUNC. Students participating in the program have the chance to receive the AoPE certificate and obtain 30 UCAS. Held during the winter holiday, more than 800 students have participated in the program so far.|
|03/2013||The beginning of our work to help international schools and key schools to build up their extra-curricular activities through the application of the ASDAN Academic standards.|
|06/2013||Start to develop an online learning platform for CoPE and AoPE, allowing for better preparation for online education in the future.|
|08/2014||The first ASDAN Math Tournament (China) is held in Beijing. The competition was co-hosted with SMT organizing committee, firstly introducing the team-based competition into China. More than 700 students from 120 different schools participated. The High School Affiliated to Renmin University of China won the first price.|
|02/2015||ASDAN International Math Tournament Programme started. Chinese high school students are organized to attend the Harvard-MIT Math Tournament and Stanford Math Tournament, with 180 students from 21 different schools participating.|
|04/2015||ASDAN China form a strategic partnership with the American Physics organization - American Association Of Physics Teachers (AAPT). ASDAN China introduces the PhysicsBowl for the first time. Nearly 4000 students attend the competition at 59 exam centres spread across 5 competition regions. Nanjing Foreign Language School won the first place in Group B, and Xi'an. Gaoxin No.1 High School won the first place in Group A.|
|07/2015||ASDAN China becomes an official partner of the London International Youth Science Forum (LIYSF). LYISF is one of the top high school forums in the world. 40 students from China were selected to attend over the summer. Students were given the chance to visit advanced labs in famous universities, scientific research institutions and several famous companies.|
|08/2015||The second ASDAN Math Tournament is held in Beijing. The combined effort of Harvard, MIT, Stanford,Princeton, Johns Hopkins and UC Berkeley Math Competition Committees for the first time, creating a unique math competition. New exciting math concepts and competition rules were introduced, giving students the chance to enjoy these famous university-led math competitions in China.|
|08/2015||The first official ASDAN Sustainable Project Competition (ISWEEEP) is held in Beijing, with 160 teams from across China attending the competition. The teams awarded first prize were given the opportunity to attend a fully funded trip to the US to present their projects in the final.|
|04/2016||Holding ASDAN teachers training conferences in each region to provide 6 categories (PSHE & Citizenship, Curriculum Subjects, Vocational & Careers, Non-Formal Learning, Sport, and Volunteering & Leadership) with elective course plans for 38 extracurricular activities for teachers.|
|05/2016||Working with USA biology Olympiad (USABO) as an official partner, we introduced the 'USA biology Olympiad' to China as BioOlympiad Initiative USA-China. Chinese students will compete with 10,000 American students.|
|08/2016||Inviting Poshen·Loh (the national coach of the USA International Mathematical Olypiad team) as a consultant for the ASDAN Math Tourament, giving teachers and students lectures and instructions about teaching and learning math.|
